I’ve tried one of these “bird’s nest” type cakes before but this one was far more appealing than the last one a tried. The pastry is sweet puff pastry. There is cream filling in the middle and the “eggs” are three pieces of chocolate confection. The chocolate confection was quite chocolatey but also a little cakey. I’m not exactly sure how it was made. Think a dense chocolate cake and that isn’t far off. Anyhow, it was very nice.
