One of the nice things about buying cakes in Japan is that, due to my lack of Japanese language abilities, I’m never quite sure what I am buying. This lead to a nice surprise with the following “Santa Cake” (as I am calling it). I picked it up when I was out looking at Christmas Lights. The beard of the Santa is made from icing sugar and has been smudged a little. The surprise was that inside is apple. Kind of like an apple strudel type filling.
