Where I am currently living used to be the largest lake in England. That was hundreds of years ago and the whole area was drained to create farmland. The whole area is a flat as a pancake which is good for farming and running (but not too far). Technically I live on a flood plain but there is little chance of flooding. There is a nearby village that has flooded a couple of times recently but that was due to a river bursting its banks. Between my village and the river are: an A road, a canal and a railway line.
