Autumn is a big deal in Japan. People take a great delight in enjoying the changing colours of nature. it’s actually quite nice and is not something you really see in the UK or other western countries (something satirical site The Rising Wasabi like to take the piss with). I went to visit Daisen park again. The weather had taken a colder turn but people were still out having barbeques and generaly having family days out.

I found the Japanese Garden very busy with lots of people enjoying to colourful leaves. Whenever I visit there is at least one photoshoot going on. I’m not sure if these are just couples wanting to have some personal photos and hiring a professional photographer to take them or if it is part of some wider trend or campaign.

I sat for a bit and finished reading Shipwrecks (a good but slightly sad tale). I have read another of Akira Yoshimura’s books and both have been good. I’ll need to read some more of his books.
