I went to see the Orix Buffaloes play. It was about a month ago but I haven’t written about it as I was doing a little more research about what follows. I’ve only been to one baseball game so far. Baseball is more expensive than football both in terms of ticket prices and beer prices in the stadium.
Before the game the following idol group were singing. They are “rather strange”. It got stranger as this was followed by a revamped version of “If your happy and you know it clap you hands” (I hear this is also played before Kilmarnock games).
The baseball game actually left a lot to be desired. The final score was 1-0 to the Seibu Lions. For a baseball game that means it was pretty poor. Quite how the Buffaloes managed to keep the score down was a mystery to me as the starting pitcher really struggled to throw strikes.
There were some fun moments. I squeeky woman kept appearing on the big screen between innings to promote various foods and beverages on sale around the stadium. She was sampling them all and by the end of the game she must have got through quite a few hot dogs and pints of beer. In baseball batters often have a “walk on song”. Among those on display in this game were “White Lines” by Grandmaster Flash and “Macho Man” by The Village People.
Lucy apslutly loved it. Even Mumy did to. Lucy never stoped listening.
Don’t tell her about AKB48 then…
