It was Tarte Tatin. It came from one of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/French-Kitchen-Cookbook-Joanne-Harris\/dp\/0385604769\/ref=la_B000APFVNQ_1_22?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1526975720&amp;sr=1-22&amp;refinements=p_82%3AB000APFVNQ\">French cookbooks<\/a>. The pastry wasn&#8217;t too good. Too fragile. The thing became a bit like a crumble.<\/p>\n<p>I was just looking at my copy of French Country Cooking by Elizabeth David and it doesn&#8217;t have an equivalent recipe.
